Floosie, I'm sorry I won't be able to get in to see you. My sister and I are currently unpacking a 40' container. We have to be out of the container by the end of the month and it's `panic stations' at the moment.

Sorry to hear about your friend. The North Haven Hospice are wonderful. They were a great help with my late mother so your friend is in good hands.

Thinking of you. sad

Thanks ladies for your replies. My sister in law and I will be at Palmers Tea House, Water Street/Maunu Rd, at 11.00am tomorrow, Wed. To those of you who can't make it, I hope to meet you when I am back up in October.

Valsi, sorry this is such a short trip, if I didn't have commitments back in Christchurch next week, I would be over to help celebrate your birthday with you. I hope you have a lovely day and that both you and Stan are keeping well these days. I have only spent one night in my home since 22nd August - life has been so chaotic - I am way behind in all my correspondence. Thanks June for your message - I started an email to you and the others last week - it is still in my drafts section. Still have the bed waiting for you to come and visit.

Fortunately my house (and street) have come through the earthquakes unscathed, but I have been staying an hour north of Christchurch for most of the time helping out while my wee grandson has been sick and in hospital. Prior to that I was visiting my son in Invercargill (that was the day after Georgie and Muffinz left). smilesmilesmilesmile

DizzyDaisy - I will try and give you a call tomorrow - thanks for the offer. My sister-in-law lives at Glenbervie, just in Dicksons Road looking down on Harris Road.

hi Floosie. I am so sorry to hear about your friend. It is a sad time for all her family and friends. You seem to be having a bit of a hard time at the moment. my thoughts are often with you. Good news about your house though. At least that must have been a relief for you. Can't get up north at the moment but I am looking forward to meeting up with you later in the year.

Lottie - thanks for your note - you know my friend - Susan - remember I brought her to Pillinis in Milford once when she was down staying with me in Auckland. Occie was there, also Georgie, Anngee, Beauty, and a few others, I would have to look at the photos when I get back home. It was one of our early, raucous meets, not that they've changed, though. Even Sparrow was there that day., We talked about a name for her and all agreed we would call her turtle. Sadly she never did join grownups but she really enjoyed that day. I'll be in touch once I get home.crycry
