Hello Macthistle,
I just d/loaded Startup lite and It seems ok. I had no unnecessary startup items to sort out. (I am not surprised, as I use ccleaner and that sorts it all anyway.)
My conclusion is: you don't neded it if you have Ccleaner and run it regularly.

Macthistle,
Ccleaner deletes old unused junk files. When you click Analyze it finds them. and when you click Run cleaner it gets rid of them.
Perfectly safe. If you open "Tools" you can click on Start up and choose what programs you want disable from starting when Windows loads.
I hope that you removed it properly from Add/Remove Programs and not just deleted the shortcut.
