It has certainly arrived here! We have had such a lovely autumn, and today has been cold and showery. We were going to eat out but have decided to hunker down and raid the freezer instead.

Sorry I missed the gathering at Portofina - sounds like fun. LN and JM, I'm so sorry to read about such horrid family tragedies. I'm sure your families will have been much comforted by your visit.
I don't have enough superlatives to describe my 19 hugely busy days in Dublin and Limerick. Every day brought excitement, culture, friendship, genealogical successes, bookcrossing adventures and just plain Irishness. I'm so glad to have even a small part of my background being Irish.
I'll be watching for a suggestion of a GrownUps adventure.

I thought nice catch up next week, maybe somewhere over the hill, or local, I dont mind...Suggestions please, Im free Wednesday and Friday if that suits anyone......

:lolh cold is not good BB...Get the train to Mana, and walk to the sandbar...we'll see how good this pub of foss's is, lets hope they have a fire or a big heater...shall we meet about 11.30ish on the Friday then....bring those others from up your way, and we shall see how many turn up from porirua, wellington, the Hutt way...We are such a good crowd, people should flock to join us...xxxxx

No no Holmesfan you missed nothing...He just said we need to meet in a pub, so he could have a beer....Bet he does not even come along:-)....Anyway, the Sandbar is in Mana right at the northern end of the shops, past the pharmacy etc. I have no idea what it is like, but we shall liven it up no matter what it is like.....and if we hate it, there is a nice cafe just along the path.and then NEXT time we shall meet in the valley somewhere...

Nice day here today, but cold. Yes! what happened to Foss organising the lunch at the Sandbar? glad he has a really good secretary like you Biddyliz, hope he appreciates you!!!!!!
Will catchup with Beachbelle and Beachgirl about using our Gold Cards, look forward to it , perhaps all give a little thought into having a mid winter lunch over in the Valley.

Mid-winter lunch sounds an interesting idea. We could make it a "Theme" one, best dress hat or something like that!! Could be a "right-bit-of-a-do"!!

Sounds good to me, LN - I can usually only do Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, though if it is in Upper Hutt I could do Wednesdays and Thursdays if I can be a bit late (about 12.30). It is hard to get a day when everyone can come, isn't it!
