Well what goes round comes round again. 20+ years ago they had the ARA. Then it was disbanded as it was too big etc. Now they are heading back in the same direction.
Watch out for user pays. (means You Pay twice)
Once people looked out for others. Now the greedy's have their eye on the assets of the 4 cites to hock off, Having little care for the poor.
Sorry folk it's ME first, ME second, and ME third now and if there is any left over, get the hell out of the way it's ME again.
Watch what little service you have now get a LOT worse. Watch your rates doulbe or treble, Watch your costs for anything Pools, Libraries,etc skyrocket.
There will probably be a charge to walk in the door of the council,
Wouldn't want the ordinary rift raft citizens annoying the council staff now would we.
Bring back the poor houses and the soup kitchens.
Glad I left Auckland a couple years ago. Only problem is Canterbury could be next too.
