Just spotted my deliberate mistake! Waimarie starts sailing SEPTEMBER 18, Saturday, Sunday, and Public holidays sailings at 1pm.

Waimarie is presently on the hard at QWest boat builders. Photo's will be on facebook.

Looks real lonely there! She looks great on the slip. Nice new coat of paint all touched up ready for another couple of years. She passed all the tests, due mainly to great maintanence. This is where most of her operating deficit came from.

She returns Wednesday. She comes back into the river on the top of the tide raises steam then paddles upriver. Could be some interesting sights as she swings at anchor waiting for the tide to fall and get under city bridge then home!

On another topic, I'm shifting (One of the council pensioner flats) Cats are not allowed. I have 2 black ones to get give away. Both neutered, both very domesticated.

Please, I don't want to just drop them at the SPCA

Hi Skipper sounds fascinating. Will try to catch site of her at the bridge.
Moving ok. Sorry I am not allowed cats here either. Would have loved them.
I had to leave mine with the spca when we left town in 2006.
H
eartbreaking. One was re home able. The other not.
Maybe someone else on friends will have a solution......Go well.Gem

Hi all, The Waimarie looks awesome at anchor on the other side of the Cobam Bridge. Spotted her as I was coming home from delivering meals on wheels.
Will walk down tomorrow for a close shifty. Stay dry.Gem

Yep Waimarie 1st sailing at 1pm. Supposed to be shifting! Yeah Right. We postponed! Have a go later. You would be surprised how much can be fitted in a car, leaving only the big stuff! The truck is on standby.

On Facebook there is a Waimarie group. (Search Waimarie) Heaps of photo's of both boats, and Hipango. There will be photo's of Waimarie on the hard at Q west shortly.

Hey - thanks for that, skip. I'll take a look see.

In the 80s my computer graphics class at the poly had an exercise design a logo (visual identifier) for the Waimarie... with the best one (not mine) being chosen by the guys working on the restoration. That was a graphic showing the boat coming out of the wheel.

Good luck with the moving. (Man I hate moving.. maybe Ive got too much stuff.)
