Did anyone see the programme last night called Eating Media Lunch. I've never watched it before and never will again. It was porn to say the least. If you saw it I'm sure you'll agree that these guys and girls weren't using condoms, favoured or otherwise. Ugh! And before you tell me I should turn the b...y thing off, I did but not before I was turned off myself! Cheers Pixie

Hello Bobbity, I love reading your threads, you are a fountain of wisdom, knowledge and life experiences. The cardio version was "mechanical" and done under a light g.a. I think the thyroid problem flared up as the result of stress and thyroid probs affect the heart. Been there done that, got the scar to prove it. It was tho, exacerbated by the magnetic blanket.

Pixie..I turned over to that during the ads and was disgusted..I quickly moved on and didn't go back... and never will again. Do you know he was in the nominations for the most sexiest guy on TV last year?..I'm pretty sure he didn't win..They should have a nomination for the crudest person on TV..I could place a vote for him, but it would add to his infamy, so I won't.

I'm seriously considering writing to the Broadcasting Complaints Authority but they'll probably say 'get with the times Grandma!' Pixie

Who is the TV presenter you're talking about? I've seen that programme advertised but haven't so far watched it.

Eating Media Lunch is Jeremy Wells. He is a nominee for sexiest presenter. OK he is easy on the eye, but wouldn't you feel a bit yucky if your kid was presenting a programme like that!

Hi all, here's another program thats got the aussie viewers up in arms over, and is due to arrive on tv3 next thursday.Californication. reading the Sunday Times view on it,looks like there will be a holy row over it,over here too.I am NOT a prude, but I aint watching it. Forewarned is forearmed.[I think thats it]

As for Jeremy Wells, well I would'nt mind his shoes under my bed. That would be the easiest part. Its getting that blessed body into the bed will be the most difficult[just joshing]

You are funny Ramona..I will write to Jeremy and tell him of your interest....smile
Californication...well the name says it all doesn't it...The answer is of course our remote control..so easy to use.
There is no way the TV guys are going to get rid of shows that appeal to a high majority of the audience...these people like smut and crudity and are not so happy viewing anything else.

What is an electrical cardioversion?
Cardioversion is a brief procedure where an electrical shock is delivered to the heart to convert an abnormal heart rhythm back to a normal rhythm. Most elective or "non-emergency" cardioversions are performed to treat atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter, benign heart rhythm disturbances originating in the upper chambers (atria) of the heart. Cardioversion is used in emergency situations to correct a rapid abnormal rhythm associated with faintness, low blood pressure, chest pain, difficulty breathing, or loss of consciousness

This is the first i have heard the term Aggie. It is such a very long time since I was nursing, and I think this is a modern term.

It seems that NZ is very liberal when it comes to sexuality on TV but doesn't allow too much violence. Just the opposite in North America -- some of the explicit stuff they show here would never be shown on the regular TV channels there. If you subscribe to a cable channel you get more "adult" viewing choices.

You know the old saying Karibou, "No brain, no pain" From a mental health point of view the explicit scenes of sex and violence on NZ TV must be harmful to many nervous and unwell viewers. I am unable to sit and tolerate these movies and some very graphic documentaries as well.
