Today I went to check in-mail as usual-I did not do anything different, and found that all the mail was out of sequence. It normally has the latest letter at the top, then goes down in order I received them-yesterday's,day-before etc.The computer seems to have sorted all the mail for me-(unasked) into groupings-groups of letters from friend Ann,Grown-ups newsletters all in a row, letters from friend Mary together. And others higgledy-piggledy amongst them, dates all over the place.
I did wonder if the in-box was a bit chocker,so set to and deleted a lot of them, but it is still a mess.
Any ideas?
And also how can I delete more than one at a time?It takes ages to delete each one, which is why i perhaps have just left them to accumulate.

PS-my 'out-box' is fine-everything is in sequence of sent mail.

Hi Emelle,
First of all, what email program are you using? If Outlook Express, go to View, Layout, Sort. You can choose in there how you want your mail to be viewed. Don't forget to click Ok.

Sometimes OE just gets mixed up, (typical MS stuff up) can happen when new updates to OE are installed.

Cheers CB

Hi Emelle,
Well, i don't know anything about Incredimail, But you could try highlighting the ones you want to delete, in a block, and then right click and choose Delete.
As I said, don't know anything about Incredimail. It used to be full of bugs and subject to viruses some years ago.

Cheers CB

Hi emelle
Hold down Cntrl while you click on the ones you want to delete if they are not in a block. Then right click and delete.
Good luck.

Hi Emelle,
In incredimail and in windows to delete all the items in mail folders go to the menu bar (top of the page) click on edit, then select all, then push the delete button on your keyboard. Cheers.

Thank you everyone-very useful advice.I have missed absorbing it somehow in the lessons etc i have had.I have a special notebook by my computer to write advice.
I was amazed seeing the doc,on the lad at whitianga who interfered with world computers-I wondered 'how on earth did he do that?'
