Kia ora koe Squirter.
I love flowers and srubs
.
Our vege garden is well fenced off and blocks out our chooks and the wekas.
But as far as house gardens, well they are open up sesame.
Cut a long hard struggle short, we ended up growing hydrangeas.
We are a bit like hydrangea mecca. Pretty though.
Bob prunes them each year, about June/July.
Also the flowers against house, are a great variety of daisies. These are now grown in 40 gallon plastic drums, out of reach of the feathered friends.

Very hardy plants and are a success. So we are content just to have some flowers, and maintenance free.
When we get some good summers
I shall experiment with marigolds and others in the drums for a change.
The strong winds are a huge factor here too.

Yes, helping out others is a great way of sharing.
Hence I liked the"Agent orange" expression.

Hey Manurere.
"I liked the"Agent orange" expression"
I came across this this morning....is this what makes most sheilas look old and haggard before their time!!!!

"Pay attention to the soaps and shampoos you use. Recognize that your outer covering, that which you call your skin, is your largest body organ. Human skin is designed to absorb nutrients from sunlight and the Earth. Can you not imagine how readily it absorbs lotions, creams and sunscreens? There is much research available to you on this topic; we suggest you inform yourselves and make better judgments on the products you select. We also suggest that you bathe less frequently. You will find that as you improve your diet, your body smells will become pleasantly fragrant. (HOLY HELL
) Sometimes a rinse is all that is needed. Remember to bless and thank the water as you immerse yourself with its cleansing and healing properties!
Hey you jokers out there....isn't it just great being the trim, taut, and terrific picture of beautiy that we are, and being worshipped in such a divinely way by these old wrinkled-up battle waggons that immerse themselves in all this garbage. Maybe they didn't bless and thank the water.

Crikey.
Now I'm gunna bugger off quickly before the broadsides start arriving. But I still love 'em.
Yahoooo o'clock.

Hey Squirty, me mate told me about when he was in Nam, they used to stand out in the open when the planes came over dumping the agent orange so that they could feel the noce cool spray on their hot sweaty bodies cos it was so bloody hot and humid in the jungle. He is one of the few of he mates then who s still alive.
Yes those bloody lotions and so called skin care products, soaps and even toothpastes are every bit as poisonous as that agent orange but bugger all people will eithe believe you when you tell them, or have the brains to check it out for themselves.

Kia ora koe Squirter.
hahahaha
Your duck away comment.
I agree with your article about the lotions.
But to bathe less,
I couldn't do that
On my mums side, the girls in her family, lived to good ages, late 80's to 90's and wrinkles could hardly be seen.
Products ignored, or not available.
My mum liked using 'Ponds' cream, when going into town, and some lipstick.
Wrinkles......well you have 'em, you have 'em. Part of life's makeup.
I use soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and when we have visitors, or on holiday, deodorant. An extra shower/wash is preferred rather than deodorant.
I make up a Rosemary mouthwash.
And have a ton of aloe vera on hand for dry skin, and for many other uses if needed. With the aloe vera, I have treated holidaymakers for sun burn, and cracked lips or burns.
I am looking into home made toothpaste, have seen on internet some recipes using baking soda. Also for soap.
Any one got a recipe?
I have had hay fever, most of my life, and I am pleased to say for the past three months, I have found using 'Colloidal Silver' liquid excellent for instant relief. A squirt of spray in eyes, throat, ears and wallah....instant relief. At this age, it is a miracle help after all those years.
It is also has many many other uses, and a cream is also available.
The expense for the relief is really worth it. I feel 40 years young
Pneuma Health Waiheke is whom I use. Phone 0800 459 459
Or online www.goforhealth.co.nz
The link to look for will have Waiheke.
They give a description of what quantities is mixed.
All this in 'Gardening'

Amazing how the comments shift.
{Agent Orange}
started it.
But good korero.

Enjoy your day katoa.

I mean't to add,
Quantities for Colloidal silver is important.
It has something to do with mercury, I have heard, which needs to be watched for.
I have not followed this statement up.
Ewing Stevens is a number one advertiser for Pnuuma Health Products.
Ewing lives on Waiheke, and is talk back host for Radio Live, and has been for many years, and now Radio Live has put a studio in his house, and these days he does not have to catch the ferry into Auckland. He is quite an old age too.

Bloody Nora....
See what happens when you chuck a bit of borax in a joking fashion....you get damn interesting and informative posts returned as has happened with Manurere....long may it continue.

Manurere.
My parents used to make soap in the copper but it was only used in clothes washing, so must have been a mean brew as the clothes came out like new....ingredients, would not have a clue.
Tooth paste....not too many years ago I was a very heavy smoker which caused my teeth to stain badly due to my long distance driving and unable to brush them at the nearest woolly bush. I accidentally stumbled upon a swimming pool cleanser so I gave it a try and tally-ho, only one application was necessary....white, and as clean as the driven snow.
I still use it today. I will not broadcast the name as it needs to be watered down.
Now away to see if I can drum-up some more borax for some bugger.

Cheers.

Here is an example:-
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
A chemical called triclosan poses a health risk, as it is a toxic compound which can promote cancer. The most shocking thing is that triclosan is commonly found in everyday consumer goods such as antibacterial soaps, deodorants, body washes, creams, lotions, cosmetics, cleaning supplies, detergents, dishwashing liquids, and yes, mouthwash and toothpaste.

Oi ole-fella-Jack,
You trying to frighten the tripe outta me with toothpaste chemical.
We gotta give these folks the dinkum oil 'ere, so here's a bit more. Gotta keep these ole farts in good health for a few more years to argue over sweet-bugger-all mate.

""The first step in purification of the physical body is to fast, which allows your body time and energy to purge itself of unnecessary toxins and stored substances. During this purification process, it is common to feel fatigue and to have a myriad of side effects such as skin rashes, diarrhea and headaches as your body removes stored toxins from your cells. These toxins are creating havoc as they pass through your circulatory and digestive systems. Once purged, the body feels invigorated. It is wise to drink much water during this process to assist in the restoration of healthy cells""--------
As an ex-registered chemical applicator squirting pesticides, insecticides, and fungicides all over the joint then seeing a colleague of mine drop dead on the spot with a massive heart attack at quite an early age I started to take notice of the active ingredient of anything and everything I handled or applied and this lead me to roughly, what the above is saying....flushing the inner man with plenty of water. During this period I was drinking at least 4 litres of water per day and I can tell you it appeared to work for me to the point I still drink at least a litre per day even though I have not applied chemical for 11 years.
Most, (his includes household chemical) if not all of what you are ingesting, handling, or using today has got some kind of chemical in it, and it is surprising what one learns when diving into chemical. No matter what happens today whether it be government, business, manufacturing, any-bloody-thing, we only get told what they want us to know, as ole-fella-Jack says, $$$$$$$$ reign supreme.
Me...I like to live a bit longer and do read labels looking for the Active ingredient on most things purchased....I don't read beer labels though
even though I do knock back the odd bucket of beer, got to be an exception somewhere.

and no, I'm not paranoid either.
Cheers.

Yep!
Old Squirty has just given the true oil there. Way back in the 50's my aunty was crook as a dog and the doctors at the Waikato Hospital sent her home to die. Someone said she should go to a Dr. Eva Hill. Check her out with the old googly thing if you want to know more about her.
Anyway, the first thing Doctor Hill had me aunty do was just like Squirty just said, a fast for four days. Then a diet of nothing but carrot juice for a week or so and me aunty went on to live a happy nuther 20 or 30 year to well into her nineties.

Kia ora koutou katoa.
Comments are all taken in, and I shall go and have a look at that link 'Old Jack'.
Good to hear about detox Squirter. I believe this has worked for many.
Ae Kai. The puna wash....brrrrr.
I think we have been so spoilt with the on off buttons for everything, including hot water, the puna wash days are past.
Even camping these days, theres those solar shower bags that one puts in the sun.
Come to think of it, campers are no longer free, to set up any where these days. And facilities are available.
Yes too spoilt, me thinks.
Enjoy today katoa.

Crikey,

A bird flying with bones creakin' from munchin' onna few slugs, bugs 'n' rusting up ya bubble tank an givin' ya the golly wobbles....watch out below I'm emptying out a bitta spent fuel. Doink, oh hell.
I'm a bit like you love with chemical after squirting it all over the joint for some years. Only use it when necessary as living in a stand-alone town house we do not have an abundance of room for vege's as my passion is mainly flowers and smallish shrubs, so if folk want to know I tell 'em.
Cheers.
