Oi 'Bazza Ya B'
Try this....when we were doing plenty of hangi's....peel the onions, leave them whole and stuff the chooks with them. Absolutely top hole.
Time to chuck the pork into the oven.
Cheers.

You just having a bit of pig for tea .We scored a bit of real Mainland Emu this morning so thats tomorrow nights meat sorted . Once you have tasted Emu you would never eat pig again. But you are not sophisticated enough to know how to cook it as it takes a real mainland Master Chef like Mrs Bennie to prepare it and no way will she give her secret of success to anyone. So you stick to you hunk of pig and I will salivate thinking of tomorrow night's dinner.

Two grassroots types were proudly showing around a visitor - vegie garden, windmill, worm farm, mushrooms, the lot. They finally came to the chook house. "Henny is a wonderful layer, and when she stops laying eggs, we're going to eat her". Scene now jumps to the local corner store, and who should walk out of there but Henny with a carton of eggs under her wing.
And that, my friends, is the original reason why the chicken crossed the road.

Well folks especially you people from that other Island that is an off shoot of our amazing Mainland ,esp. Bazza who must have been to the Whitianga Museum and removed one of their Moa's to feed the starving citizens of Whitianga, I am quite happy to send food parcels up to those poor inhabitants of this deprived town.
I must apologise for a slight mistake in that I said Emu instead of Ostrich. I had been watching an Australian documentary on S.B.S about Emu's and had a senior moment. We only received a couple of steaks so I won't need to dig a hole and Hangi it.

You will probably have to pack your shorts with you tomorrow because as you come down Saddle Hill towards Quarry Road you will have to change as the weather on the Taieri will force you into your shorts.
For goodness sake don't mention what goes into your back pocket as the I.R.D. snoopers monitor this site and you could be a marked man.

Collette .. #652 yes the plastic house used to work well for me but sadlly no longer, has gone to meet it's maker too many strong winds here .. would work well in a much more sheltered area.. but did get very hot over the summer months .. but you could have tomatoes ready way ahead of outdoors .. talking of tomatoes I have two growing out doors that have been over wintering with no problems , they are selfsown..maybe that makes them hardier and have done nothing special to them..perhaps just a milder winter
