Just checking to find out if the Group has left for Fiji. Had you invited me I would have bag packed in a flash. Joking aside, I hope everyone is fit and well and not too down over the snow whammy delivered to us. Would love to go out for a bit of retail therapy but will have to just munch my way through the snow.
Put some bread out for the sparrows with an eye on the gulls which are scavenging at the bus stop. If they get to know the house will be crapped on with wild abandon. The library books are overdue and so are the videos which I never even got to see as the tennis takes ups much of my viewing.
What are the lads doing to keep focused???
Well keep snug and well fed and who knows what the weekend will bring.

Ocker, that is just so wonderful to see the Church back in its former glory. Hope you are going to do one of the ChristChurch Cathedral too.
Joybell, well the Winter has given us a taste of what is to come. We are using one room to heat as much as we can but the rest of the house is like an ice box.
Reine, Thank your husbands Team for helping get people their power back on. Such a thankless task when the next lot of high winds, snow, floods or other natural happening will see them doing it all over again.
To the rest of Cherryatrics see you next Wednesday - weather permitting

Ocker, you are a whizz, and the paintings are so wonderful and beautiful. Sorry I missed you in April, not enough hours in the day. Would have loved to have seen alot of them then, but never mind, another time maybe.

Oh Ocker, beautiful, perhaps you should do all the Heritage buildings we have lost and have a Heritage Painting Show in Worcester Street.
Please make me a friend on this site I have a personal request to make of you.

You had better knit the chooks booties with plastic gumboots attached, reine. Poor wee things. I wonder if they see colours or colour blind like dogs. Why are dogs colour blind anyway. Are the chooks white? She could have got lost out there. We had nice morning tea together on Wed. The weaqther permitted and we were in the large dining area with an enormous gas fire on full power. I went to the Palms for the first time time since the Feb. Quake. Some shops are new and some have gone.
I was looking for a clothes dryer. Or rather checking on prices as I have found that for the same model and make they range from $350-$550 . manage to find one at $ 379. Funny though none of the shops have them in stock so have to wait a few days. I will try to get my grandson to deliver it and save another $64. A taxi wouldn't cost that much as it is a 10-15min ride. Be extra for the big parcel though.
Did you see that housing prices have soared in Christchurch. Charity does not exist down here.

You are very chirpy this morning, reine. Your caravan getaway must have been just what the doctor ordered. Is Edward working those long hours still or are they on top of the work? I was wondering how the chooks are these days. Still safe from the bad dogs, I hope. The winter has really arrived with cold mornings and not forgetting the odd shake here than there.
After each one it is incredible that the house is withstanding the battle. Not much activity going on though there are a few entertainments coming up. Problem is they are happening over the other side of the Square and transport is not always available. You take care.
