Hi Greencarth, not often I get here either, but I won't burden you with what has been going on in my life - enough to say it is NOT a bowl of cherries. We still meet at Atua on a Wednesday and sometimes I think that is all that keeps me sane. We laugh, we talk and general do pretty much as we have always done.
I am so sorry to read you had a stroke - not nice - Dick has had two of recent times and it is hard to come to terms with reduced capacity and mobility. It seems Strokes have been more common since the earthquakes - stress is one of the causes it seems. You try and take it easy and we will look forward to when you can join us again.
Hope Easter Bunny hops into your house with some goodies.

Good afternoon one and all, what a lovely afternoon after the morning we had...it is so nice to see the sun out and hopefully will stay out till after Easter, so all can have a good relaxing time.......coolcoolcool.......but NOT FORGET WHAT THE REAL REASON OF EASTER IS.............biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

People enjoy all these holidays but then forget what they stand for and its not bunnies with chocolate eggs...rolleyesrolleyesrolleyes....
.but then who doesnt like chocolate..
The idea is to feed the grdies up with sugar and send them home to mum and dad to show them what they were like to us at times....lollollol

HAVE A GREAT EASTER EVERYONE.......coolcoolcoolbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

On the northeastern cone trail again, this morning, for morning tea. Has it gotten better, does anyone believe, or are the patches just being re patched. The roundabout at Marshland Rd and Queen Elizabeth drive is a bit like a Brueghel painting in modern garb. Chaotic is hardly the description.

Get used to it Joybel, it is like a maze in some places. Wish they would use say two different colours for some places. Deans Ave is a nighmare with so many cones marking two lanes it gets really confusing.
There is a new game in town, take the cone and put them across the road so the traffic does not know if they are supposed to be there or not - Larrikins at play.

Then there is the other game, make sure you can drive between the two lines of cones without bowling one over. and watch for the STOP/GO person at the other end.

We have lost our Cathedral so we cannot be called ChristChurch now so we can call ourselves Cone City!!!!!

What a lovely day we have had. I have been very sick with asthma the last 2 weeks and havent been able to shake it at all.
Had to go and have a dose of nebulizer at the drs yesterday and now am hoping to get a bit better before friday as edward and i are going away for a week as it is our 40th wedding anniversary on sunday, but being anywhere with no kids is a help at all.....lollollol
PEACE, QUIET...NO CELL PHONES 4 THEM TO RING YOU...LOVELY...lollollol

Sometimes i dont think that dr;s are happy at aall unless they are filling you up will pills for this and pills for that, just so you can shake rattle and roll, as if we dont get enough of that down here anyway..lollollol
life is just a mix up at the moment with life not knowing what is going to happen, except of course a cardboard catherdral...who ever thought of that doesnt have a brain in his or her head......eekeekeek..and these are the ppl who they have sorted out to look after our city...

AND NOW JK is not happy with the goings on or off and got his dirty little hands back in the trough...he cant seem to stay away and yet hes doing nothing....rolleyesrolleyesrolleyes

GOOD MORNING ONE AND ALL,

What a lovely day we have here, it was such a lovely weekend and as we had our 40th wedding anniversary it was so nice to have the sun with it as well.
40 years seems such a long time, but I dont feel old at all and just wonder where all those years have gone.
We went away all last week in our new caravan to just have some time to ourselves while we actually had it and just the party mainly for the kids in the weekend....biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

It was a lovely time away and we were so blessed with hot sunny weather all week. the mornings were very cool though and played havoc with my asthma, but as the days were perfect that made up for it as I could soon start to breathe properly again.coolcoolcoolcool

WELL I DO HOPE THAT YOU ALL ENJOY THE SUN THOSE WHO HAVE IT AND THOSE WHO DONT, HAVE A LOVELY DAY ANYWAY..biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin
