Both tomatoes and basils are sunlovers so the more sun they receive the better. They'll probably be OK where they are if they are sheltered and it's a nice hot season but they'll do much better with more sun.

Thanks for that info BlueIris. I actually decided to move them. I put them in pots and put them in a place where they get sun just about all day. They are thriving well.

have just planted some tomatoe and basil but have just realized that they are only getting morning sun, is this going to be enough or shall i move them before they become to used to where they are. Perhaphs when daylight saving kicks in they may be ok where they are?
