Well, now that you have McaFee free from Telecom, it would be probably too much hassle to change it now. So the butterflies have to go! I am sure you will find plenty of lovely screensavers out there that will work ok.
However if you do decide that you cannot live without them, and want to dump McaFee, get Avast! free version and not AVG. Avast! is the now preferred anti virus in all geek circles.

Cookybaby: I just had a look at this, Avast Free version, I'm sure it said: 30 Free Trial. What happens after that, do you then have to .... Pay.

Hi B J B - No, you don't pay anything. Avast is a free version and works very well. Might take a while to download if you are on dialup though.

BJB, you need to get the Avast 4 Home edition. I know they make it difficult to find but it is there. The free one updates automatically, but you have to use it manually to scan. The Pro version (paid) does everything automatically.

I got sick of the infighting and the delays so ditched them both. I now have Avast! and have a slideshow of My Pictures as a screensaver. Will keep you posted if it makes things faster.

I have had a butterfly screensaver for years but recently took advantage of Xtra's offer of free McAfee antivirus. It hates my screensaver and keeps telling me that it is a threat. When I ignore the call to delete it, McAfee goes all anti and frequently freezes the screen. Should I get rid of my screensaver, or ditch McAfee and replace it with AVG? I am a real technotwit.
