Emelle! I reads your post,I like wot you said,
About Flu and the sniffles and lying in bed,
It's never a breeze when you cough and you sneeze
feel 'orribly bunged up and weak at the knees.
But your thought of most highly wiv your poems so frisky,
forget about lozenges, and break out the whisky.

Oh no! Not the whisky -- you'll get get dehydrated;
I reckon that rot-gut is so overrated.
Just squeeze out some lemons and mix them with honey
and soon you'll be hopping, as fit as a bunny.

I plan out me funeral as I lie in me bed
With ten freezing toes, and a burning hot head.
I can't stand the radio,me book lies untouched,
and that there's me dinner, but I don't want it much.
Alone in me misery,a lozenge I take
I don't feel like sleepin,and I hate being awake.
Me bed's all a mess as I toss and I cough,
I pile on the blankets, then toss'em all off.
But as I snuffle and sneeze,I takes pride in knowing
It's being so cheerful,is wot keeps me going.
