They could only fill one with happiness and the beauty of music, mrsmom. I watched the one filmed in the Netherlands and loved it. Just remembered I caught sight of a cd in The Warehouse yesterday for $6.99, titled The Rodrigo Collection and the Concierto de Aranjuez. Lovely classical guitar. I bought it so I am away to play it now. Cheers

Yes, even with the various downsides of living in the world today, it's still a beautiful place when there's gorgeous music. There is also the pleasures of dance, good movies, theatre and humour, but somehow it's music that has the power to touch our hearts and lift our spirits.

My favourite has to be the one at the Royal Albert Hall and the concert he did in Berlin (La Vie Est Belle), especially the bagpipes!

Campbell Live will be airing a new Andre Rieu interview early next week. Talking about the new album Youll Never Walk Alone. He is in Australia this week. it might happen tonight but i reckon the drama in Napier will be their entire show. understandably

G'day Houseplant,
Thanks for that. As an old rocker and still continuing I've never heard of him (Andre Rieu) so went to Limewire.com and there are many of his so d/l'ed "Blue Bayou" and "The Last Rose Of Summer" Lovely pieces of music, so will continue to look through for more.
By-the-way the version of Limewire I've got is free.
Cheers again.

My sister in South Africa got me interested in Andre Rieu music, and now I am hooked! I only have three of his DVD's so far - am definitely planning to buy more - and I never tire of watching them. The first one is called In Wonderland - it's a live concert performed in an amusement park in the Netherlands, the theme is fairytales and the music is a great mix of classical and popular pieces. On my birthday last month, my husband gave me the Live in Vienna DVD - the music and the dancing on this one are just lovely.I bought Live at The Albert Hall last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed watching it while sipping a glass of red wine. Red wine and Andre Rieu - definitely a winning combination!
