Fun to knit isn't it Beachbelle. Have another feather and fan one I have knitted from the Lion Brand site as well. Google that if you want some ideas. I had bought 2 packets of 10 ply cream wool at $2 per ball, had done a basket stitch blanket then the f and f one. Looking through a Womans Day a few years ago and there was a Hollywood star with her baby wrapped in same blanket done in stripes of the most horrendous colours
Shortly after it seemed to be the in thing for all those Hwood mums to be either knitting or their offspring to be clad in hand knits. Good on them.

Thank you Aggie for a wonderful tour through Lion Brand.Haven't even started looking really, get stuck on one pattern.and away goes me imagination.Oh some lovely Ideas,so there is.I gave up years ago when boys were small,in knitting in wool.Acrylics today have that wash factor[washing machine, that is]and they don't take long to dry. This feather and fan long skirt I did/done has been washed for ever, and is still as new.So guess where I will be gawking tomorrow.Back to Lion again.

So pleased Mona, I didn't have time for a browse today, just through the newsletter, but I have had some beaut patterns from there.
Coming down to earth after the rugby, not having Sky it has not long finished so then had to ring grandie in Oz and discuss it with him. He had already seen it of course, had told his dad he wanted a jersey. Ben is 16, unbeknown to him I had posted yesterday, a limited edition Bledisloe jersey from about 4 years ago, No. 8 of 50. 3rd son had given it to his dad for his 50th and he will never wear it so Ben will be one happy young man.
Having a bit of a tidy up before the onslaught of the 2 youngest with their offspring tomorrow 5 under 5 1/2. Will be tiring but fun.

to all you lovely knitters out there. I am a knitter and on my website you you could be in to win a copy of Sweet Shawlettes by English designer Jean Moss, by writing a comment there about the book or a pattern you like.
Please check out this post

You may need to copy and paste the link as I don't think it will go directly from here. I hope you will look.
thanks

Phew, thought we were in for another big quake, heard the noise, waiting for the shake and it is only the next door neighbour starting his vintage car. Heart going 90 to the dozen.
