Hi. It really depends on how you are going to use your motorhome: Do you think most of your stops will be where there is potable water available (like camping grounds or POP's) or will you tend to freedom camp. We do the latter and have found that our 160L tank is fine. During a 10 week holiday earlier this year we refilled on average every 6 days. We have found that our 60L grey water tank is the limiting factor with us.
For your info: I have just started up a forum for NZ motorhomers which you will find at http://nzmotorhome.co.nz. Please visit and leave you question there. I hope you'll get more replies there.

In the self containment section of the handbook it gives you the amount of water required per person per day. Knowing the no of people times the days will give you quantity of water required, "minimum 3 days "
.Your grey water tank should be of the same size , if less it must be monitored, an added expence

I have just brought a 8.5 mtr bus and I am trying to fugure out how big to have the fresh water tank, obviously it depends on the space but it will be silly to have a huge tank that we don't need and not have spare space for other things. how many days worth will be good to have stored I was thinking 10- 14 days?
Any advice will be great
