Such a lovely day today, cold mornings though down here at night. lucky we have a good fire that keeps the water hot and our home warm at night...
Its a shame that so many that are not so lucky to have what I have here in CHCH. So many people go without here in CHCH...

.....life is still so bad here and no one really knows if they dont live here...some are still living in there cars because they cannot get a place to live as homes are so hard to find a place to rent..

...
God has blessed us abundantly...

My laptop came with two booklets, neither of which has instructions on learning the ropes. Those are tucked away inside the machine and are a jolly nusiance when trying to follow them committed to memory. What memory, is the problem. And finding the info amongst the reams of instruction is off putting.

Yes...mine came with a book of instructions which I found utterly useless...I dont think the person who wrote them and I speak the same language.
The best thing I did was buy it through a reputable computer shop and had an expert IT chap load it with things I wanted from my old one...then he gave me a demo to show me it was working fine and answer any questions I had...It may have cost me a bit more than going to Noel Leeming etc, but it was worth it and they will be getting my custom from now on.

I will just carry on with the wireless mouse and keyboard for now. It is when i take it to bed to read a book or put it on my lap that the mouse does not sit anywhere helpful.
My laptop was a special at D>S. and while searching for the mouse pad i have learned that its normal price was nearly $200 cheaper.. Not that it is is any less workable and the windows 7 is the same pain on any machine. I love it. The touch pad can wait until my grandson is available, which is anytime Gran he says but he works and has a family and i do not want to be a bigger pain.

"Seems to me your culture is one of racial bias & hatred so who are you to lecture those of us who like to live & let live.
Try a bit of love & tolerance for a change."
Gaby one - its not interested in that. Its a troll & only wants a reaction, while it gets one it will continue to post.
I had an email this morning which you might enjoy. Sheer bloodyminded stubbornness triumphs again!
"The Dance.. just amazing and touching
In a Chinese modern dance competition on TV one very unique couple won one of the top prizes.
The lady?in her 30's?was a dancer who had trained since she was a little girl....
Later in life?she lost her entire right arm in an accident and fell into a state of depression for a few years.
Someone then asked her to coach a Children's dancing group.
From that point on, she realized that she could not forget dancing.
She still loved to dance and wanted to dance again.
So?she started to do some of her old routines,
but? having lost her arm?she had also lost her balance.
It took a while before she could even make simple turns and spins without falling.
Then she heard of a man in his 20s who had lost a leg in an accident.
He had also fallen into the usual denial?depression and anger type of emotional roller coaster.
But?she was determined to find him and persuade him to dance with her..
He had never danced?and to dance with one leg....are you joking with me? ?? "No way!"
But? she didn't give up?and he reluctantly agreed t! hinking?"I have nothing else to do anyway."
She started to teach him dancing.
The two broke up a few times because he had no concept of using muscle?how to control his body?and knew none of the basic things about dancing.
When she became frustrated and lost patience with him he would walk out.
Eventually?they came back together and started training seriously.
They hired a choreographer to design routines for them.
She would fly high (held by him) with both arms (a sleeve for an arm) flying in the air.
He could bend horizontally supported by one leg with her leaning on him?etc.
In the competition?as you will see?they dance beautifully and they legitimately won the competition.
When I watched this I didn't even realize that she was missing an arm because I was focusing on the ! guy with only one leg.
Really quite amazing!
Enjoy watching it . . . .."
