Hi RichardPrincipal
I think that's kind of sad as I was just thinking along those lines myself before I found this thread.
Cheers

After listening to some totally trivial subject a radio announcer when on about one day while I was listening to my favorite radio station I thought "why dont radio stations have their own Email group?" that their radio listeners can chat amongst themselfs via emails. Like about the music on the station music one might like on a CD one has purchased and think this music other listeners of the station might like it. (just to give one example)
The hot topics could be talked about it on the radio station for the benefit of radio listeners who are not wired up for Email. I might even move my radio dial to a station that has less good music on it just to join "their email group"
I thought it was a great idea it would move "radio" into the 21st century and if no other country around the world does it, it might show that we kiwis can come up with good ideas.
But alas the idea fizzed out as I presented the idea to my favorite radio station, the end conclusion I came to was your favorite radio announcer is just too lazy to try out new ideas.
One radio announcer summed it up very well when he said "I love Mondays" personally I can not wait for knock off time Friday afternoon after putting in a hard week at work.
