I am sure it is playing games with me. When I think it has stopped jumping I go to put the cursor on it and away it whizzes again. I thought I heard a snigger tonight.

Mine isn't exactly a snigger-it is a sort of teeheeheee.

Oh dear! The threads are on a trampoline just now, and I am unable to put the brakes on as they whizz up and down. Again!!!

Hi Joybel. Just curious are you on dial up or broadband. I am on dial up and find that I must wait for the page to be fully downloaded before using the curser. If you look at the bottom left hand corner of page it should tell you when it has finished downloading. If you try to use the curser before it has fully downloaded it often jumps all over the place.
I hope I am not telling you how to suck eggs as you have been using a computer longer than me. That is what I have found anyway. Good luck.

I have Broadband cameo. The trouble is when I scroll up or down the threads. They get the hiccups and then whizz back up to the top. it is as though the cursor has lost its get up and go. Once the threads begin whizzing up the cursor is unable to put the brakes on.

Fair enough Joybel. Seems like I can not help you as I am not familiar with broadband. However I would be interested in ockers 15 second rule. I think he may be on to something.

I think that is a different problem, cameo. When the eggtimer is with the cursor it means the download is getting there. To click on it again could cause a hissy fit, I read. Cheers Joybel.
