Sorry Tango 38 I am not very poetic But I cme in here because I saw something tonight as my son and I sat out on the barbie area . A mother Hedgehog and her son or daughter came sniffing around and we were frightened to move incase they disappeared . I have never seen them around here before and hope they will make my home there home . How can I make them feel wanted ?

Hello Trogan,
Apparently you can leave for your little hedgehog mates a bowl with meat based cat food or bisuits (not fish based) and a bowl of water not too deep as they can drown. No milk either as this is very bad for them. (Do this at dusk- early night time - not day time as this lures them out and they are really nocturnal creatures ) Plug 'Feeding Hedgehogs' into your SEO and search, it brings up lots of information. All and the best and keep us posted - I'm sure many of us would love to hear more about these cute little creatures. A couple of songs that talk about Gardens and little critters are..."How Many Flowers Grow Do You Know In An English Country Garden" AND "Morning Has Broken"...Just put in to SEO the song Name Lyrics and up it comes.

The sun creeps over the hill,
and the silence is broken by a song birds trill.
As the golden rays highlight the trees,
they shake, and rustle, with the morning breeze.
Cotton ball clouds skip across the sky,
while a hawke circles, searching on high.
Each, and every dawn is quite unique,
when nature awakes, and starts to speak.
