The complete travel guide hasn't been updated yet by the look of their website so the last version is 2006...

I used to show a Samoyed and traveled all over with him. When I rang to book, either a motel or a holiday park, I always used to say, before you say yes, we are coming to a dog show and we have a dog. I was never turned down. We arrived at one place and there was a big sign saying no dogs allowed, but they had accepted our booking with a dog. A lot of places have these signs up so they can turn people down if they have what they consider a dog that may be a risk to others, eg, pitbull etc. It gives them discretion without causing offence.
