I used to show a Samoyed and traveled all over with him. When I rang to book, either a motel or a holiday park, I always used to say, before you say yes, we are coming to a dog show and we have a dog. I was never turned down. We arrived at one place and there was a big sign saying no dogs allowed, but they had accepted our booking with a dog. A lot of places have these signs up so they can turn people down if they have what they consider a dog that may be a risk to others, eg, pitbull etc. It gives them discretion without causing offence.

The complete travel guide hasn't been updated yet by the look of their website so the last version is 2006...
