Hi,

I am a freelance journalist looking at the 'healthy' menu options offered at fast food restaurants. If you have suffered health issues from an excessive consumption of fast food (e.g. obesity, diabetes), or know someone who has, and would like to talk to me, please let me know. Anonymity is possible if requested.

A few days ago, a small drink of lemonade(tinned) landed me with a headache and I felt sick. This was just a sip or two. Hardly excessive consumption of fast food and I am normally a healthy eater. I woke up this morning to find that the headache had gone, but my appetite is still not back to normal. If a bit of lemonade can do that, I hate to think what an excess of fast food could do!

Am keeping a food diary to keep track of what I actually do eat and am more careful as a result. I have stopped combining proteins with starch. I have my protein with my main meal and my starch in the evening at tea time. Yesterday went to my favourite cafe to eat, thinking there would probably be something there that I could have and could not get out fast enough! The smell seemed terrible! I have been keeping my food diary for about a week or so.
