gg, did you know he was in the hitler youth. His folks were jews so his mom enrolled him in the hitler youth. what better place to hide. lol

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koru_Flag

There is an excellent book on him by Taschen.
(I got a copy for my b/day.)

I love his architecture. Some of his architecture models slope up out of the ground. You've seen what he did with a toilet.. imagine what it would be like if he could re-deign chch.. man - we'd have a really unique city then.

(Actually some look a bit hobbitish.)

ratz - another shake..

Gidday

You got a good point about New Zealand being a different country to what our soldiers died for mate.

Take this for an example.

While sitting in the very symbol of our democracy, the House of Representatives, our elected representatives have turned their backs and blocked their ears to the clear voice of the people of New Zealand as expressed in the referendum of 2009 that asked the question, 'Should a smack, as part of good parental correction be a criminal offence'? 87.4% of the 56% of the population who signed the petition said No!

96% of the elected representatives said NO to that request!
No to John Boscawen’s sensible amendment to the Anti-smacking Law that would have addressed the problem faced by the majority of good parents all over New Zealand who do not want to break the law when they lovingly correct their children in raising them to have respect for authority and the self control needed to be good citizens of our country.

Now it doesn't matter what side of the argument you are on, surely if we lived in a democracy 87.4% vote would automatically be passed through our house of representatives.

Beachbum .
Give us the story of the Jews continual infanticide . If you are going to quote scripture give the chapter and verse . You are generalising far too much as far as I can see . Also this continual portraying of the Jews as Israeli's shows a lack of knowledge of the whole subject and it would be wiser to observe , listen and ask before interjecting .

The stone of scone . Genesis ch 28 of the Bible states -
Jacob chose the stone he used as a pillow for a pillar . ( Previously he used stones as his pilow so I presume he chose one for the intent of purpose .) It was stated at the time that wherever that stone was would be the House of God . Some ascribed that to England as the stone was there but 4 or 5 years ago Scotland kicked up a stink about it being there and eventually England succumbed and returned it to Scotland . I have not heard anyone ascribing Scotland to be the House of God but as biblical prophesy has always been fulfilled It must be at this time .

At our age I would presume that we would all know that we cannot change other people we can only only ourselves .
Do you have a lawn Beachbum ?
Did you know that the reason NZ'r's have huge lawns is because in Britain it was only the hierarchy that had lawns , massive lawns . Our fore fathers decided this wa s what we needed as a new country to achieve equality with our superiors so we are now all stuck with our lawns and lawnmowers that rule our lives . Kiwis haven't changed a bit from where we came from , wecan still be an ostentatious , pious class dividing society without any help from anyone else thank you . Or haven't you noticed .
On the other hand , when we start thinking about it we can be decent people even if it takes a massive earthquake to make us think a bit

My intention wasn't 'to portray the Jews as Israeli's' but rather 'the isralis as jews', jolly. The isralis I knew were rather quick to let me know that.. but I could be wrong.

You read the bible more than me. (I never do.) so why dont you check out why david was made king. (The previous one was given the sack for being merciful.)

Gee and I thought we had big lawns due to low pop to land ratios.. oh well.

I guess Im not too keen onn the brits due to how they treated our troops in the wars. They seemed to think we should be honoured to be canon fodder for them.

"and what NZ flag would I go for.

The one designed by Hundertwasser."

That would be my second choice Beachbum.

"Hundertwasser built some fancy loos just up the road from where I am. They draw thousands of visitors each year, to Kawakawa, and most just to take a photo, not to use them."

I've seen those on TV,GG - would to actually see them one of these days.
