Stay overnight within walking distance
Travellers making international or domestic connections can stay at the ibis Budget, less than a 20 minute walk from both the international and domestic terminals, and the Novotel, situated just outside the international terminal. Both hotels offer reduced mobility rooms and 24 hour reception.
Depending on your needs, you can be escorted through duty free shopping, passport control, baggage collection and customs and be delivered safely to your awaiting transport. Auckland Airport’s experienced Concierge team will assist with hand baggage, and prepare you in advance for border processing.
Relax at the Emperor Lounge
Before your next departure or transit, visit the Emperor Lounge, open from 6:00am until 1:00am, seven days a week. Ideal for relaxing before your international flight, the quiet space is perfect for a delicious international cuisine meal, a final check of emails and messages, or a revitalising shower. The Wait Zone 30 minutes free parking
Now available at both terminals, The Wait Zone was designed to give people picking up friends and family from the airport a place to park and wait until their traveller arrives. Follow the pink signs from the pick-up and drop-off areas, or head straight to the entrance. The entrance for the international Wait Zone is on Tahinga Lane, with the domestic terminal’s Wait Zone off Laurence Stevens Drive. When travellers arrive and are ready to be picked up, simply exit The Wait Zone car park and drive around to the pick-up area.
