Autumn glamping in New Zealand

Glamping in New Zealand is a fantastic experience. Nothing beats spending time away from the rat race and getting back to nature, while still being able to enjoy the modern conveniences. But instead of facing the crowds in summer, why not try Autumn glamping? There are plenty of great Autumn glamping experiences around this great country of ours to enjoy!

Here are seven of the top Autumn glamping spots for you to enjoy:

Hapuku Lodge, Kaikoura – a luxury treehouse located 10 metres up in the air, it has both fantastic views of the ocean and the hills. This offers great views, a nice room, and a bathroom above a native Kanuka grove. There is a two person spa bath, fire place and a fantastic balcony.

Pure Pod, Little River – offering something a little different, this glamping accommodation is completely made with glass. That means you can be under the stars at night and have great views in all directions. Is it a solar powdered glass pod, raised off the ground so you can see the plants and vegetation underneath. You can either bring your own food or dinner and breakfast can be added for an additional fee.

Underhill Valley Earth House, Waikato. This location is built into the hillside just like Hobbiton as seen in the Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbit. It’s an ideal glamping option for fans of these iconic movies.

Bell Tent Te Puke, North Island. This is a lovely Bell Tent on decking for hire. There is no electricity and it has a two-night minimum stay.

Kahi Katea Farm, Bay of Plenty – this is a camping site which houses a lotus belle glamping tent with three smaller huts. Only one group can book the campsite at a time, so there is plenty of privacy. There are lots of great bushwalks around Whakatane for you to enjoy too.

Woodpecker Hut, West Coast – this is located near Punakaike. It’s on a cliff top property halfway between Greymouth and Westport, has a hot tub and enjoys all day sun. A great get away spot!

Go Glamper – a Go Glamper offers the ultimate glamping experience. It combines the best of a caravan and a campervan. You can easily park it up and explore any area. It has all the luxuries that you would find with a glamping location such as kitchen, toilet and bedding, but portable!

There are so many fantastic places to go glamping in Autumn: the only limitation is your imagination!
