Now this is a brilliant idea. Instead of throwing away broken items, Amsterdam has repair cafes. Here, you can bring in an item which isn’t working, and fix it, with the help of handy volunteers.
This is a fantastic venture which can save money, teach new skills and reduce waste. There are other repair cafes around the world, but there certainly needs to be more! It is also a great way to pass on tips and tricks which can be passed down to other generations.
