Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em is coming to the JONES! channel on 30 September, and to celebrate its launch we asked Michael Crawford some questions about the show and his role as the well-meaning but disaster-prone Frank Spencer.

Thanks to everyone who submitted questions for Michael – we hope you enjoy hearing his answers. He shares some great stories including one about a mishap on the Christmas nativity set:

“I was lowered into the manger where baby Jesus was … and [the operator] let go of the rope and then grabbed hold of it again just before I hit the ground …  and I just sort of swang there and the shepherds and the kings started to laugh and I just ad-libbed and kept going and I said, ‘oh, well that’s ruined my Christmas.’ Michele actually wet herself and the audience, unfortunately, could see it on the light royal blue outfit that she was wearing as Mary. The producer wasn’t too happy with us but the audience found it very very funny.”
