Golden Syrup Dumplings:
1 cup Self-Raising Flour, 50 g Butter, 1/2 cup Milk, Pinch of Salt ( I don’t as butter already has salt ), 1 3/4 cup Water, 1/2 cup Sugar, 2 Tblspns Golden Syrup, Juice of 1 Lemon.
In a Medium Saucepan, add water, Golden Syrup, and lemon Juice. Stir and bring to boil.
Place flour and salt into a medium bowl and rub in butter until it resembles Breadcrumbs. Add Milk and using a fork, gently cut through to form dough.
Gently roll the dough, a Tblspn at a time and gently drop them into the boiling syrup. Place lid on top of saucepan and turn down the syrup to a simmer. Simmer for 20 mins.,. Turn the heat off, sit for 3-4 mins.,. before serving.
Comment: I believe a few of us, may have made these at ‘ Manual Training’, 🙂 🙂#1623965BJB June 9, 2017 at 6:13 pm
