My day is one of wonder, a knock at the door and outside were two guys and a truck, come to wash my house. Good, except it is raining hard and the house seems to be already well washed. This is a service provided ny Veterans Affairs.#1686574don021 July 9, 2018 at 1:01 pm

I’m gonna feel bad, with the good-wind that has bestowed on me from, thru the years, while you are in winter. I’m off for another adventure in the “Thousand Islands”. Will have a boat…yeah! that really sounds like me! hahahaha….being me, I’ll make the most of it. Talk to you when ever? lol#1686885don021 July 11, 2018 at 5:40 pm
My time of pain & trouble ended today with a short visit to the opician. The surgeon had trouble when removing the cataract from my left eye and I ended up with three sutures in the eye. Two have broken and been removed and lately I have had a feeling the last one had broken, something was irritating the eye. A visit to my optician showed the last stitch was still in place but several eye lashes had curled and were touching the eyeball. Eyelashes removed and all comfortable again. Best $10 I have spent for years.#1686960BryanMemberMember since: October 28, 2006

Yes Don I can confirm the fact that having something in your eye scratching the eyeball is NOT very nice!! Many years back I got some grinder dust into my eye and while we thought we had it all a very small piece embedded itself into the surface and had to be scraped off “not” a nice experience but was much better when done!

My day has been twinged with sadness after being told that Dr L has passed away. I very rarely come into this site anymore so was unaware until this afternoon.
My condolences Desi, you will miss him dearly. I never had the pleasure of meeting Dr L but valued his contribution on these boards.
Desi, I so remember the lovely photos of your wedding to Dr L, memories that you will always have, take care.#1687037don021 July 12, 2018 at 5:31 pm
Yes Bryan,in earlier days eye safety was not considered important, I worked in a place where arc welding was carried out in a workshop with no screens, no safety glasses used when grinding, workers handling heavy goods in flip flops. It all changed when I became safety officer.#1688092jennifer128355 July 22, 2018 at 10:06 am
Where are you all? Time to hear some of the nice things you are doing or boring, that you may think. Don’t worry about what you think that people don’t care!
Had a real nice trip in up State NY, not too fond of the drivers though, may have gained a few grey hairs! Crazy drivers out there, not to mentioned the road rage over nothing! Not because of me.
Met many nice people and had a good time (could take me a week to get over the partying) hey, I like to enjoy myself….I’m a NZer! hahahaha You all take care.
