“Whether you believe in god or not does not matter so much, whether you believe in Buddha or not does not matter so much; as a Buddhist whether you believe in reincarnation or not does not matter so much. You must lead a good life. And a good life does not mean just good food, good clothes, good shelter.
These are not sufficient. A good motivation is what is needed; compassion without dogmatism, without complicated philosophy; just understanding that others are human brothers & sisters,& respecting their rights & human dignity.”
“The planet does not need more successful people. The planet desperately needs more peacemakers, healers, restorers, lovers & storytellers of all kinds.”
The Dali Lama was one of the most misogynistic and corrupt individuals ever to lead a nation.
When he scarpered ,he took with him the total gold reserves and historical wealth of that nation .
The People of Tibet are much better off without him
And the bugger still bleeds the gullible of their donations .
He is easily in the top richest men on this earth.#1717225supergold April 21, 2019 at 12:50 pm
Let’s all just remember this. It will help our world to be a much better place if we just try to be nice to each other.

So then which is the more altruistic and effective way to be good and helpful to each other:
Accumulate no wealth and sharing all our production with each other to consume it all hand-to-mouth equally – or to help and make sure that those with no productivity (earning) opportunities still build up some personally owned wealth for security and useful wealth creative (profitable) investment opportunities from the help we grant them, without becoming seriously needy have-nots ourselves ??
Or what other way can there be ?#1717299lilith7 April 22, 2019 at 11:33 am

“We must learn how to identify the opposing sides in our inner conflicts. Take anger: we need to see how destructive it is and at the same time, realise there are antidotes within our own thoughts and emotions that can counter it. So by understanding how negative it is and then by strengthening our positive thoughts and emotions, we can gradually reduce the force of our anger and hatred.”
“Satisfaction is characterised by inner peace. It arises from generosity, honesty and what I call ethical conduct, a way of behaving that respects others’ right to be happy.”
“Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible”

Perhaps ANZAC day isn’t the best time to be stirring up mistrust & dislike. Particularity in view of the recent massacre here.
“Muslim communities across New Zealand will be volunteering at Dawn Services Thursday morning.
Ahmadi Muslims Youth Association helps to organise remembrance parades every year. President Azeem Zafarullah told Newshub it’s even more significant after the Christchurch terror attack.
“It’s important that we show the public that we’re here to represent our country, we are loyal citizens.”
