“The world is not facing a clash of civilizations or cultures, but a clash between those who want to build bridges & those who would rather see the world in polarities, who are working hard to spread hatred & divide us.”

If you don’t have anything nice to say, come sit by me.
Never throw mud: you can miss the target, but your hands will remain dirty.
Time may be a great healer, but it’s a lousy beautician.
The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity.
Four be the things I am wiser to know:
Idleness, sorrow, a friend, and a foe.
Four be the things I’d been better without:
Love, curiosity, freckles, and doubt.
Three be the things I shall never attain:
Envy, content, and sufficient champagne.
Three be the things I shall have till I die:
Laughter and hope and a sock in the eye.

“I have no time to withstand ridiculous people who, despite their chronological age have not grown.”
“I do not want to be in meetings where parade inflated egos.”
“I won’t tolerate manipulators and opportunists.”
“I want to live among human people, very human. People, who can laugh at their mistakes.
Who do not become full of themselves because of their triumphs.
Who do not consider themselves elite, before they have really become one.
Who do not run away from their responsibilities.
Who defend human dignity.
Who do not want anything else but to walk along with truth, righteousness, honesty and integrity.”
“My goal is to reach the end satisfied and at peace with my loved ones and my conscience.”

This is a weird thought that went through my mind today. It’s not up there with the wonderful thought provoking quotes I enjoy that you all post but may just provoke some brain cells to stir an inkling.
I was browsing absent mindedly through a real estate book and noticed some rather grand ‘prodigious’ houses. Do you think that the agents have misspelt this word and really meant ‘pretentious’? Or am I the only cynically minded one about this affluent side of our society. Just a thought.
