In those two polls, Labour rose and National, the Greens and NZ1st all fell.

I thought what was most interesting was that NZ1st lost 8 points, described by our glorious MSM as a drop and the Greens lost 7 points described by the same unbiased and entirely factual MSM as a collapse.

The loss to National and NZ1st was attributed to the Jacinda effect.
The loss to the Greens was attributed to the Metiria effect.

Way to go, MSM. They spin like political tops for their political masters and their corporate bosses.

But hey! That Jacinda eh? 😄 Let’s Do This

At least the media were not, by and large, repeating the dirty politics slandering that was going on. Some of those have been repeated here despite them not being substantiated.

But it seems that those lies were enough to create pressure on her family and force her to resign.

It is interesting that the debate about our welfare system was not picked up by the media.

Did you know that someone on the benefit has to tell WINZ if they have a meal with family or are given a food parcel by their family. Apparently WINZ consider this financial help and it should all be declared.

Maybe it was too hard for the media, or maybe it just wasn’t juicy enough and wouldn’t sell enough papers or make interesting air time.

And what would happen if a free meal came a the way of a person on welfare? Is someone wemployed to work out the value and deduct the worth from next weeks benefit. How miserable does it become. Does that include money beggars sitting on the streets in full view of Winz police? How sick and petty.
