😎 Oh yum, that sounds delicious Dr L. Well done you for managing to eat that, hopefully with no problems! Who is the cook in your household out of yourself & Desi? I identify with wanting a rest from cooking. We had a fabulous meal out 2 nights ago on Valentines night, was lovely not having to cook in the heat too!

Did a bit of a grin Supergold when I read about taking dentures out at night. That is what my mum and dad always did 😀 😕 and was my main worry when we were married 59 years and 2 weeks ago – would he take his teeth out at night – phew, he didn’t 😳

Having said that he did get new dentures a few years ago and I hate them. Made by a very good technician but the darned things make his lower jaw protrude slightly. Makes him look old and grumpy at times, well he is old but never grumpy – but apparently the correct bite for him. An elderly friend also used the same guy and lo and behold she had the same protruding jaw. No other trouble whatsoever with them, don’t remember even having to take him to have them adjusted. I don’t think anyone else ever notices and def not noticeable in photos. Was a good price also, just over $2,000. 😎 😎

Desi is a superb cook and I don,t cook as much as I should although we try to plan meals ahead sometimes using slow cooker or air fryer as both of us can,t stand for long We have just got home help and someone to do ironing too. Its a godsend. We try to go to The Local club at least once a week which is at end of our street in Richmond. Best wishes to you. 😀

Lower dentures always seem to be the problem ones, I can remembeer my father leaving his out and only replacing them to eat something hard, then with difficulty. A misshapen lower profile with a lower denture is not uncommon, pushing the lower lip out certainly does nothing to improve one’s appearance. My upper denture stays firmly in place as I munch my way through a sweet corn cob. I wish you well Doc with your dentures, may you have betteer times ahead.

That’s all good, well and dandy Doc. Nice of others to guide you along the way. But, there is no reputable prosthodontists, around my area  would advice to go ahead by your heading on this thread, to do so. Tissue has to heal and gums shrink….allow 3-6 months before anticipating dentures.  Keep on smiling!
