Halcyon,But aren,t we talking about a new era for The National Party. I well remember the way the leadership of Labour was robustly dissected and widely discussed on these threads.Don,t you think that as Labour now have selected a New Leadership team &Governance style we the public voters are entitled to speculate on the opposition. Isn,t this what open government and transparency is all about?

I think there is a big difference between discussing the merits of particular MPs and the ability to lead the Party and trying to rake up scuttlebutt like “the dirty politics era of nineth floor of Beehive“. Most of what was in the media was allegation.
Like Labour, National has gone through numerous changes since the times you are referring to. They, like Labour have had several changes of leader. I look forward to seeing how Labour perform over the next 3 years. That is more important than what past Labour MPs have done.
I behave therefore I am.

doogie They hold the same position as what is being brought in by The Coalition Government
That is a significant departure from their earlier stated stand points. Clear turncoating by hollow men.

Judith is past her use by date, way too much baggage.
Nats need to get their smarts on, choose someone who can change the culture within the party that has developed.
Mr English could not stay, loosing two elections is a bitter pill to swallow. Not entirely his fault, awful campaign management.#1667943halcyonMemberMember since: May 4, 2014

Again Doc, you make allegations against National MPs without providing any evidence. On what grounds do you base your comments about Steven Joyce? Lets see the evidence.
