Doogie. When I clicked on your link I was expecting to see a picture. Have I missed something?

What an interesting discussion. I started my present photography exploits in 1990 when I went on my first foreign holiday to somewhere called New Zealand. At the time I considered what I wanted to do, and came to the conclusion that I wanted to be able to remember my travels when I became old and decrepit. For that I needed prints not slides, although at the time slides were reckoned to be technically superior. Other people enjoyed looking at them, but they were taken for my benefit. I had another lady photographer friend who often did not show here pictures to other people because they were taken for her. So the Henge, from my point of view, serves its purpose of reminding me what I was looking at when I took the picture. It has now got to the point that I remember my travels by the photographs, if I didn’t take a photograph of it then I don’t remember it.

I’ve just joined a Facebook group for Churches and Cathedrals. I posted some pictures of Sheffield Cathedral that I took in 2011. I was rather please at how they came out. Here is a link to Google Pictures where I’ve put them.

Under the three vertical dots towards the top right is an option for a slide show.
