♫♪✿(◠‿◠)✿♥♫♪That was really interesting, Bobbity, especially the story of Daisy’s Odyssey. What a lot of work and detail has gone into the painting of the sponsors story.

Replies: 109That’s great work on the cows. Some years back when my grandson was three, the town across way had a similar artistic drive by different artists. They went up for auction and which all proceeds went to charities in the Township. Of course GD bid ($450) and GS was in the paper. Some went for more or less. Now the monkey sits proudly among the garden statues around parts of the property. It was a different animal each year. Now I notice its a fire and ice gala. Chili and ice sculptors donated by all the different businesses.
That’s really good that there is interest in getting these things going SOS. I think those of us who are city dwellers miss out on this sort of thing, and I know various country towns are so active in projects. Very good “therapy” for all concerned. 🙂
I love all GUppies

Well right there is the difference Kai, you’re always on the run and many of us are not, but sometimes wish we were… ?? . 😀 😛 🙂

Yes a very interesting read Val. Plus she painted 2 of the Morrinsville cows, so a feather in her cap. They must have all had such fun/enjoyment doing this, plus it will live on for some time. 🙂 She does commission work which is a real feather in her cap. Not every artist gets to do that. 🙂
I love all GUppies
♫♪✿(◠‿◠)✿♥♫♪I think painting the cows would have been such a fun project .. they were able to let their imagination run riot & what a brilliant eye-catching idea for the town.
I enjoy seeing all the clever, quirky sculptures etc that are dotted around the townships of NZ- these things give life to any community. These colourful comic book panels can be seen on the wall alongside the convention centre building site. They are on Colombo Street and section that faces into the square. It is a commissioned artwork produced by Felicity Jane Powell of RE:Edit Publishing.
