Seeing this post and chatting with the Chap that was the Bank Manager years back Reminded me he had said years ago Just how the Bank (Meaning HO) had improved things with the introduction of “Computers”, where as it used to take “3 Working Days” to clear a cheque it now only takes “One” working week!
BTW the process of editing out mistakes made by the spell checker is an even bigger pain in the ass!

Much the same when way back when they started using computers for the payroll for Waikato District Health board. When pays were done by humans they allowed for 2% errors. When it changed to computers they had 6%.

Bryan & Huiatahi, And they call this technology world progress. My guess is that the next big war will be all based on wiping out each others technology. Gradually the people who knew how to do things manually will be gone and then takeover will be simple.
Apologies for digressing on this thread.

Thanks for helping folks, but I’m actually trying to do is search electronically through a Discussion Forum (and not have to wade through 3,232 threads/216 pages of News & Current Affairs for example manually to find what I am looking for). We used to be able to do this, but it’s changed now. Maybe Gups had to streamline things to save space) Never mind…. Anyway you may like to think about this one:
Thinking about your picture Janda, but I dont even know what the lovely cat is staring at. 🙂 it’s not a fancy looking mouse is it? haha if it is.
So really, what you need is a very good search box, but I’m afraid this one in GUps is not extensive enough. Have tried it with many failures.
BTW, if a member has an invivible profile, as many have since the last changes, (not by their own doing), then their name is not going to come up no matter what method is used.
I love all GUppies
