outlive    I have done the railcarts 3 times from Taumaranui to Whangamomona, and one time  in reverse taking friends on two trips, one double trip on my own. Now i want to do Douglas to Whangomomona and back in one day.

I was just telling my hubby about the railcars…I didn’t realise that there were the different options that you mentioned.
I read about the 20 tunnel trip, apparently it takes about 10 hours.  Not sure if ‘He who must be obeyed’ would like that one but we think we just might go there next year and have a look for ourselves. Any recommendations, Don?  We don’t know anything about them so any help you can give us would be much appreciated.

haughty—- Vale, you need to stay in Taumaranui over night, the tour bus leaves at about 07-30 for the rail carts, you get a briefing how to drive them ( a piece of cake) then your off. There may be many carts depending on the people numbers, 2 person cart, 4 person cart or even 6 person cart. You can within reason go at your own pace, you stop for morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea. You get to Whangamomona about 4-15 pm, have a snack or drink at the pub, then board the coach back to Taumaranui–A point, get the very rear seat in the coach, as the seating is made for Japanese children.

Hope that helps—anything personal, email me–[email protected]—-, ill do my best to answer.

    Gudgeon,  Don?
It’s the only thing I can come up with but I can’t quite see where a farmer fits into that answer??
