The role of the e-bike in promoting health and fitness is comparable to that of a conventional bicycle. This was reported by researchers of the University of Basel in the Clinical Journal of Sport Medicine. In particular, overweight and untrained individuals can benefit from riding an e-bike.

I have been an advocate for all forms of electric transport in NZ since 2011. I am particularly passionate about electric bikes not only because they are one way to reduce traffic congestion and reduce emissions (by using an ebike instead of a car) but also because they may be the most fun way for us older folks to get exercise and fresh air.

I have been writing a blog about electric bikes for some time, so what I really want to know is: What questions do you have about electric bikes? Let me hear from you and I will try and address any questions you have through my blog. Thanks in advance.
