1000 year old viking ship
The Vikingmuseum Ladby
Visit the only vikingship in the world, still situated in the burial mount where it was placed 1000 years ago. Step into a burial mound from the Viking Age and pay a visit to the 1000 year old Ladby ship. Get close up to the treasures from the ship grave and experience the recreation of the Viking kings’s final sailing trip, to Valhalla. You can also take a walk outside and watch the building process, as boatbuilders create an exact full-size replica of the Ladby ship.

Missed all those frilly petticoats though. Look at all those young people sitting on the floor. Best view in the house? Oh naughty you!!
Thank you Squirter it does get the memories out of storage.
Good times eh!

Lilith – Danny Bhoy and the Gecko – soo funny. Thanks for posting
Squirter – ya dun it again McCain – they can dance!!!! – and apart from the best seats in the house floor show TedE [tsk tsk, I am surprised at you] it was very entertaining & brought back memories.
TedE – regarding the frilly petticoats you mentioned – I remember walking north from cathedral square one day and when I reached the corner of the next street the wind caught me & my frock blew straight up in the air & no matter how I struggled to get it down that stiff frilly petticoat wouldn’t let me. I eventually had to flatten myself against the building & hold it down in front – then I waited for a drop in the wind & scuttled across the road until I was back within the shelter of the buildings again!!!! I was soooo embarrassed 😳
