As I mentioned in previous discussions I would also be keen to meet, but can only do Saturday and sundays. Work fulltime. I am not sure of a place either.#1638197hopk80783MemberMember since: April 17, 2013

🙂 Hi there, is this group still going? I am trying to meet some new people, preferably out in the West but not having much luck with trying to work out how this thing works. Will somebody reply to me and let me know please?#1638740AnngeeMemberMember since: July 19, 2008

Hi I’ve just joined this group and recently moved to Auckland, living in Onehunga and wanting to make new friendships. In between jobs so can catch up through the week if anyone’s interested. Cheers#1644938TheSnipeMemberMember since: October 27, 2006

I suggest, if anyone’s interested, that we nominate meetup places, times and activities, so we can do this. For example: Meet outside the Community Centre (near Countdown Supermarket) at Te Atatu Peninsula, 1:00pm, Saturday 7th October. Hold a piece of paper for recognition, so we can introduce ourselves. Wait time for latecomers: 30 minutes. Activity: 2 hours exploring Te Atatu Peninsula Reserve and Walkways. Bring your own picnic. Weather reliant. Light showers ok. Bring an umbrella /raincoat. Cancelled if rain is heavy and persistent. Cafe option if we’re already there and the weather sours!
I am familiar with Te Atatu Peninsula and intended to do this anyway. The walks are easy peasy and the views are brilliant. You are all most welcome to join me. Reply to [email protected]
I’m not into expensive cafes, lunches etc., but I would love to see others nominate a reasonably priced, cheap or free place and activity in Auckland City or West Auckland. Eg: Catch a train to Auckland ferry building. Ferry to Devonport plus walk.
If we all choose a place, time and activity, we’ll have more variety and the chance to explore a place we may not have been.
I look forward to hearing from you all. 🙂
