Welcome, welcome – to those that are heading away with our Group Tour to Alaska & Vancouver on 24th July, we bet you’re very excited…we’re excited for you.
Here is the place where you can start to get to know each other and also our Tour Guide, Ron Tustin, who is a fantastic columnist here at GrownUps.
Ron can’t wait to tour with you and he’ll add his own comments as we go along. Please enjoy!#989865CoachMemberMember since: August 19, 2007

Thanks for setting this group up Richard. Very much looking forward to heading to “The Last Frontier”!
I will be escaping the wild Wellington winter for a more gentle Alaskan summer.
The tour that Globus has put together seems to have something for everyone – cruising, the Alaskan railroad, luxury coaches, and good soft beds too! Spectacular wildlife in great scenery.

This is the first escorted tour I have been on which has set up this discussion group for us. So far the information and efficiency of every thing I have received has been extremely good. I hope we have a lovely group who want to have a wonderful trip, I have been looking forward to the 24 th of July for some time Barbara Thames:#989869lesleylMemberMember since: May 31, 2014

Thanks Richard for sending me the link to this. Now I just have to figure out how to get it normally.
I was wondering if anyone from Auckland who is doing this trip would be interested in meeting up for a coffee.#989871tassie May 18, 2015 at 8:28 am
Lesley would have liked to join you for coffee if I lived nearer to Auckland. Just wondering if anyone else from the Spectacular Alaska tour group is continuing onto the Grand Western Canada extension#989873lesleylMemberMember since: May 31, 2014

Hi Tassie, I’m doing that one as well. I already have a room mate who is also on Grownups, but don’t know her nickname on here. I think there are a few more as well.#989875janlynMemberMember since: May 19, 2008

Just wondering if anyone in the Tour group has used the No Jet Lag pills before and did they work. Also are there any of the optional trips which can be recommended? Not long now before we take off.#1001067CoachMemberMember since: August 19, 2007

I have never used it Tassie but there is a good review at http://www.nojetlag.com/test-on-No-Jet-Lag.html
One result seems to be that you are likely to sleep better on the first night in Anchorage.
Regarding the side trips I am told that the Tour Director will have good information on the best ones to look at and they can all be booked through him/her.
There are certainly a lot of exciting possibilities and it looks like a lot is going to be packed into our 3 weeks.
The next 4 weeks will fly by!
