Mediaworks CEO is hiring a professional lobbyist because he wants The Broadcasting Minister to stop plans to create a public service TV Channel called Radio NZ PLUS for Radio New Zealand and instead give the money to TVNZ to create its own public service TV Channel.What do you think?

Radio New Zealand should be transformed into a truly multi platform provider dedicated to quality New Zealand programming and journalism says The Peoples Commission which came out of a series of public meetings where three key themes emerged , investment,independence and inclusion. Quality New Zealand programming is crucial to our national identity.The Broadcasting Minister has welcomed a report on the future of public broadcasting and media and thanked the group behind it for its work and commitment to public interest media.The report was crowdfunded by small donations from almost 1000 people from Better Public Media. The report reflects Labours values of cultural diversity,artistic expression,and independence.The report calls for increased funding for both RNZ and NZ ON AIR and inc six recommendations to the government inc an annual inflation adjusted increase effective immediately.

So most of the hearings in the Mental Health Inquiry will be heard in public but there might be special circumstances? The Inquiry has subpoena powers because they have heard from some people working in the sector that they feel vulnerable and that speaking the truth might be difficult in terms of their employment.The other members of Inquiry team are Dr Barbara Disley,Sir Mason Durie,Dean Rangihuna, Dr Jemaima Tiatia-Seath and Josiah Tualamali,i. Know any of them?

I see Gender Equal NZ are welcoming the government addressing in their 100day plan the reconvening of the pay equity group. The National Council of Women President and Gender Equal NZ Spokesperson Vanisa Dhiru who says we are pleased to hear the Govt is reconvening the Joint Working Group on equal pay and will be working to introduce new legislation that better meets the needs of New Zealanders.Time overdue for business, unions and Government to get together eh?

Don’t be put off by the age of your camerd, it has within it a good range of technology. to improve your photoghraphy pick out a simple subjet such as attached or a fancy piece of china placed on an uncluttered background and try getting in as closw as you can keeping the camera very still to get sharp focus. playing around on a simple subject is a good way to get a feel of your camera.

John Campbell is a star on Radio New Zealands Checkpoint and displays his professimal approach to all. I watch most nights with headphones on and think it is even better than his previous role. He addresses a wide range of issues and takes no prisoners on the right or left as it should be..Long may he continue As for Sevenup not a fan ever.
