Part of the international Meetup.com, this group is for those of us in the “baby boomer” category to meet up, mix with others in the same age group and share outings. We have been running since October 2010 and have just on 200 members. There is always something planned – usually 20+ events in advance. If you think you’d like to attend one of these, you just click RSVP and your name appears on the list. You can even see who else is going If you think you’d like to attend. You can come along to an event for the first time, on your own, and know that you will be welcomed and accepted instantly. You will go home feeling as if you have made a new group of friends. Each time you attend you will meet some you’ve seen before and some who have just joined. It is a totally safe environment for a person on their own but couples are welcomed also. It is not a dating site! There is no charge to join but we ask for a gold coin donation at each meetup to help pay organiser’s fees. The balance at the end of the year will be donated to breast cancer research. We’d love to see you if you decide to join!

Among our objectives are: the promotion of friendship and kinship amongst clan members for today and future generations. The collection and preservation of genealogical records, and the provision of this information to members. To study support and promote Scottish culture, tradition and culture. We have much to offer in the way of information, history, genealogy and clan news in New Zealand and worldwide. Where possible we have a presence at Highland games, and hold various social events throughout the year.
Rather than relying on online dating services that can be dangerous, expensive and time consuming, Date With Eight is an Auckland based dating events company that curates weekly events for singles to meet in real-life. We aim to connect individuals who are looking for friendship, a partner or companions at our pre-arranged events. All our events encourage you to connect on a genuine and personal level, so there are no scams and hiding behind a screen. Enjoy a worthwhile experience while meeting likeminded individuals at any of our dinner dates, cooking classes, coffee catch ups, dance classes or walking dates.
