Write a letter to a loved one today – and be in to win $500!

As weeks, months and years fly by, we often miss opportunities to talk about real things – important things – with our children or significant other. Sadly, the reality is that when you pass, many of those fond memories, explanations and stories will go with you.

Life is full of learning travelling, working, parenting each experience has something to teach us. Passing on these learnings and memories is one of the best gifts we can give to our loved ones.

Who knows what tomorrow will bring, so today, make it a priority to reach out and share your life experiences and perspectives. Time is our most precious resource, so why waste it?

Write a letter to a loved one

GrownUps have teamed up with Cigna to encourage Kiwis to reach out and reconnect with their loved ones. And what better way to do it than write them a letter? It’s a loving gesture, shows how much you care and can be treasured forever. We are also hand picking 4 letters to win a $500 Prezzy cards each – so make every word count!

So, take five minutes to express your love and learnings with a special person in your life. What would you want them to know if you were no longer here to say it? Would you document your favourite recipe? Explain the major life events that have shaped you? Or will you share your biggest regret?

Follow our prompts and write a short letter to someone you care about – whether that’s your grandchild, parent, daughter or best friend. It’ll only take five minutes of your day, but could mean the world to your loved one.

After all, there’s no greater regret than words of love left unsaid.
