An experience that may be helpful to others. I had the misfortune to have my wallet stolen recently while in Vietnam. Mastercard were very efficient in sending me an emergency card within 3 days. Imagine my feelings however when I discovered that this card could not be used in Vietnam, because the magnetic swipe feature on these cards is not active! After further consultation with my bank an emergency Visa was provided, which worked just fine.
