Really enjoyed my holiday away to Australia and thanks to Grown-ups or I wouldn't have known about the fantastic deal with the east coast trains. I bought the Aussie Reef and Beach Pass before I left NZ which took me to just about everywhere I wanted to go on the east coast of Australia. I arrived in Brisbane and took the Sunlander Train to Cairns, travelling then to Mt Isa on the Overlander, I did pay the little it extra to get a sleeper which had sink and table and a comfy warm bunk, . The trains have their own dining car and restaraunt, you can also watch movies and also have showers. The staff on all the trains were marvellous. You can take your own food, but otherwise everything is provided at a cost. Travelling down from Cairns, I stopped at Prosperine and the bus ( which is included in this pass) took me to Airley Beach, I also went to Mission Beach and Hervey Bay then down to Brisbane again. The New South Wales Trains to Sydney weren't as good but still comfy and warm. The seats are recliners and have their own lights and tables. I would certainly recommend the Auzzie trains as a way to travel and have thanked them on facebook, as I want to Thank Grownups for giving me that great opportunity. Lynda.
