Arriving at the lodge, you will be greeted by an avenue of 'tilea cordata' lime trees which also punctuate the estate’s ten acres of landscaped gardens, pasture, olive and fruit trees and provide the lodge’s fresh theme.  

With stunning 360 degree and uninterrupted mountain views, the accommodation at Lime Tree Lodge is 5 stars all the way.  From your room, French doors open out to the garden, where an outdoor setting provides a relaxing vantage point to take in the alpine views.  Guests at Lime Tree Lodge also have exclusive use of the stylish lounge and dining area, with its impressive open log schist fireplace.

Renowned for its attentive service and the engaging personality of its hosts, Lime Tree Lodge is the perfect place to base yourself for a culinary journey down south.  Sally and Rebecca delight in sharing their gastronomic discoveries from gourmet breakfasts and complimentary aperitifs to dinners featuring the best of Central Otago produce.  Their love of good food and wine is evident as you are treated to home-made baking, pate, pickles and preserves served with carefully selected regional delicacies.  

Prepared on request by personal chef Brona Parsons, a lavish three course set dinner typically features high country salmon, the best New Zealand beef and lamb, salads and herbs gathered from Lime Tree Lodge gardens and desserts made from local, organically-grown berries and stone-fruits - all matched with Central Otago wines selected from Lime Tree Lodge cellar.

With its swimming pool and spa pool, golf course and croquet lawn on site, opportunities to relax are plentiful.  And if you are feeling more adventurous, taking a heli-sightseeing tour to Milford Sound couldn’t be easier from the lodge’s on-site helipad.
