The Bay of Islands Gateway Motel is a small modern motel, which has recently undergone a refurbishment and upgrade of all guest facilities. The motel is a great choice for couples, families and corporate travellers.
 
Situated in Paihia, the heart of the Bay of Islands, the motel is 50 metres from the magnificent sandy Ti Beach which is safe for swimming and a myriad of water-sports and sunbathing.
 
Take an easy stroll along the waterfront to central Paihia and the Waitangi Treaty Grounds.

The magnificent Waitangi golf course with its spectacular views of the Bay of Islands is located just two kilometres along the waterfront from the motel

ACCOMMODATION

 
All of our units are provided with kitchen facilities, reverse cycle air conditioning, high speed Internet connection, Sky TV, DVD player, direct dial telephone, electric blankets, hairdryer and ironing facilities.

Studio Units

 
Our large studio units are designed with comfort in mind for the corporate traveller, couples, and small families with 1 or 2 children.

• Each studio has a king-size bed, a single bed and a couch that converts to a double bed. (Please note that we are happy to convert the king-size bed into two singles should that be more suited to your requirements).

• The kitchen has an electric cook-top, microwave oven, electric fry-pan, range-hood, tea & coffee making facilities, toaster and refrigerator. Crockery and Cutlery for 4 persons.

• The bathrooms are spacious, with a large shower, heated towel rail, and hair dryer.

One-Bedroom Units

Our one bedroom units are spacious and well appointed. These units are popular with small families.

• The main bedroom has a king-size bed and there are two singles in the lounge area. There is a couch that converts to a double bed. (Please note that we are happy to convert the king-size bed into two singles should that be more suited to your requirements).

• The kitchens are complete with an electric cook-top, microwave oven, electric fry-pan & range-hood. Crockery and Cutlery for 6 persons.

• The bathrooms are spacious with large showers, heated towel rails and hairdryers.

• The ground floor one bedroom unit is provided with access and facilities for disabled persons. The bathroom is fitted with grab rails and hand rails to the shower and toilet. Wheelchair access and turning areas conform with the regulations. If required we can provide a commode chair. The upper level one bedroom unit has a large balcony which provides views across to the beach and Waitangi.

Two-Bedroom Units

Our 2 bedroom unit is located on the upper level adjacent to the barbecue terrace. The balcony across the front of the unit provides views of the beach and Waitangi. This unit is very spacious and designed with ample living areas for groups and families up to 6.
 

• The main bedroom has a king-size bed, the second bedroom has a king-size bed and a single bed with an additional single bed in the lounge area (Please note we are happy to convert the king-size beds into single beds should that be more suited to your requirements).

• The kitchen is complete with an electric cook-top. Microwave oven, electric fry-pan and range-hood. Crockery and Cutlery for 6 persons.

• The lounge area has a three seater and two seater couch and a dining room setting for 6 persons.

• The bathroom is complete with a large shower, heated towel rail and hairdryer.
